Nothing in particular inspired me to become an artist, I was just a little toddler with a pencil one day. I was just scribbling on the walls probably. In general, my favorite mediums would be musical arts, but if we’re talking about visual arts, I just like my classic pencil & paper. My favorite artist is myself, because whenever I do actually make something else I’m proud and able to say “I did that.” Unlike just looking at some other person's accomplishments I get to go out and make my own.

I couldn’t find the words to describe the way I draw, an amalgamation of the people who inspire me most likely. I developed this artstyle by just seeing other people's art.  When choosing what to draw I just think of whatever things I like and go ahead and attempt to draw that. I usually just pick out of the few things in my mind I’m thinking about that day, if I’m thinking about a snowman I’m gonna draw a snowman.I have trouble being light with my pencil, I should probably work on that but in the meantime I usually have to restart ‘cause it’s too hard to erase my mistakes. I try to draw at least once everyday, and as I continue I like to look at earlier drawings and compare.  I just work on something until I get bored of it or I run out of space on the page and that is when I know an artwork is finished for me. My two goals as an artist right now is to get better with deadlines by choosing one thing to do and sticking to it and another goal would be to go back to more fundamental things. A violin instructor I have once said “The hardest part about being an artist is making money from it.”, I think I agree with that sentiment.

Don’t skip out on the boring things, the boring things like perspective and simple shapes, just learning how to draw a circle will help so much in the long run even if it’s boring in the meanwhile.

As I continue into my High School years, along with going to NOCCA for Jazz/Instrumental, I will probably take engineering at Ben Franklin, and continue with that into civil engineering or take it to architecture, so I feel dexterity with my hands from playing multiple instruments, drawing, and other things will help at least a bit.
