Art is culture. All art forms are a part of culture. with no art, the world would be too dire and cold. So people need to make something, even if it is small, simply to shine a line of the sun on the world.

I’ve been skilled at making art for a long time, so I thought being an artist would be a good choice. My favorite medium is graphite pencil. It may seem basic, but useful and commonly expressive. My art style is mostly sharp, angled, but curving, lines with grayscale lining and cross hatching shading. I found this was the best way of showing the structure of things, with texture and form. The colors of a form are less important to me than the shape and lines. I like many artists, one of my favorite artists is Neytirix. On youtube, they have a nice control of lighting in settings.

When I first started making art, I started making some images of things I thought of and basic parts of objects. Often, I only make art of things I know I will want to make, and break the image into parts for each day, or subject. This helps me stay motivated. I pick a shape, or a few, and add just some more details, then I find a form I want to make. Sometimes I have the idea of the form first, though. When faced with making creative decisions, I try to add when needed, and sometimes ask someone if an idea would look good. But I still make choices on how to make a feeling work. I start making some things lightly, and if it feels right I keep going, if not I would add to the mistake as a different part of the work, or if really needed, I remove or paint over it. I know when I am finished when I cannot think of something else to add or the image is close to the idea of what it would look like.

Creating organic looking joints and cloth are some of the things that I had difficulty with making. The biggest challenge of being an artist is thinking of new ideas of things to create, that are in my skill range, but not something I have done already.

Two goals that I have are: To make things that feel real, in terms of form and lighting, and to create art that I find relaxing, to make and see. to grow as an artist I keep using my skills to make different things, and spend time doing things working on my art.

I would say to a new artist that If you see a style or image you like, and can’t remake it, then try making something else, of some shape, even if it is not perfect, you can try one more time. You can create your own form of art, unlike other artists’.

Art is something I want to do professionally. I plan to be an architect in time. I love math, geometry, and art, so to make structures of art and use for people would be a grand thing to do.
