Hey, my name is Da’lia. Being an artist is important to the world so people can see your talent. Ms Nuru inspired me to become an artist. I started at the age of 9 and I was in the 4th grade. Ms. Nuru is my favorite artist. 

One of my favorite mediums is markers. My art style is brats ish because that is my favorite show. I choose what to draw by looking for references that inspire me. I make creative decisions based on my favorite colors, shapes, and sizes. I talk to myself a lot to motivate myself to stay on task. I try to cover up my mistakes and make my art look better. I feel pretty good about making mistakes because it inspires me to work harder. One skill I'm struggling with right now is shading my artwork. Two goals I have as an artist is to learn how to shade better, and how to make viewers more curious. I would love to do art professionally as a nail technician because I like to do nails. I can definitely use what I have learned in school for this kind of job. 

The advice I have for beginners is to love yourself for real.
