Hello, My name is Adia! I'm a student at Homer Plessy! You may be wondering why Artists are important. In my opinion Artists are important because it can be a way of showing your emotions or who you are as a person in general. What Inspired me to become an Artist was that when I was younger I made a black and white painting and people thought it was really cool and it made me feel like my art was good and so I have practiced to get better because I think Art is really cool! One of my favorite Artists is Ms. Nuru because she puts in a lot of work and effort into teaching us and helping show us how we can improve our Art. In my opinion my favorite medium is drawing because it’s very calming and it helps me focus. I like doing Art challenges in my free time because I like testing my limits on drawing!
If you're wondering what my Art style is, I'm not one hundred percent sure because I do many different styles because I like testing different styles. I know I'm not the best Artist but I do my best! How I decide what to draw is that sometimes I do my own characters that I have a bio for but I don't have a look for and sometimes I look game characters up and I try to draw them! When I'm faced with creative decisions sometimes i'll do a weal of names to decide or I go on the internet to get inspiration. When I make mistakes I'll do my best to fix it and if I can't that’s okay because it shows that I actually tried! When I have a deadline I usually talk and work because it helps me to have fun while working because it makes me have more motivation.
When I finish an artwork I know its finished because when you finish an Artwork you feel some sense of accomplishment because you achieved your project! I'm struggling with some shading because I can't remember what brush is good for shading. The biggest challenge for being an artist is probably people doubting you or people hating on your artwork which could make you think your artwork isn't good enough. I’d say my Two goals as an Artist is to get better and to show that even when you're a kid you can still do amazing things! To grow as an artist I'm going to continue to do my best in Art so that I can improve my Art! Visual art is something that I do want to do professionally: I’d wanna be an art teacher!
My advice for someone who just started making art would be to not give up even if people doubt you!
