Art is important to the world because it is the ultimate form of expression and creativity and there's simply nothing like it. I was inspired to become an artist by the miscellaneous media I consumed as a kid. I started very young. I remember drawing things from the shows I watched as a kid as far back as kindergarten just for fun. My favorite artist right now is Robert Kirkman as he is the creator of my favorite comic and show invincible and the walking dead. My favorite medium to use is traditional since it's easy and comes the most naturally to me, my favorite in general is probably digital though as it is much more capable than traditional, it has also taken over the art scene in recent times and I’d like to get better at it. I choose what to draw just by going with what I think would be the most fun to create.

I haven't found my art style yet but I’d like to think it's sort of a comic book art esque style. I developed this style through drawing the things that I like, most of which are also drawn in a comic book style.  When I make mistakes, especially irreversible ones, I can feel demotivated depending on how much I care about the piece, I’ll usually just push past it and find a solution when I’d make mistakes in my art however. I struggle with keeping focused on some artworks but what helps me most is just having what I need in front of me with no outside distractions and nothing to draw my attention away from my work. I know when an artwork is finished when all I planned to include in the piece is complete and I feel satisfied with my work.

Something I'm struggling with right now as an artist is drawing eyes because they're pretty difficult to correctly place and add detail to. The biggest challenge I face being an artist is staying motivated because after a while of drawing I will sometimes run out of energy and motivation to continue drawing thinking I’ll be taking a short break only to not come back to my piece. Two goals I have as an artist are to fully develop my style and create a piece I can feel sure is my best work to date. For now, I keep on practicing, and putting in effort on my creations to push my improvement as an artist. Having two art classes a day also helps. If I were to consider a career in art it would definitely be a comic book illustrator and writer as I like comic books and would be happy to make on of my own.

Advice I would give to someone who is just starting visual art is to make it fun and don’t push yourself to make something outside of your own ability, just hone your current skills and work towards those things, especially because when an ambitious piece doesn't come out the way I want it to, I can feel more demotivated than ever.
