Being an artist is important to the world because it's a way people express things and show how they care for something. And doing that is important to yourself and others. Something that inspired me to become an artist was seeing all the art around New Orleans, and other places that are filled with art. I got started with art by watching my uncle who is an architect, sketch build, and paint. And it made me want to use his art supplies and sketch anything that came to mind. I manage my time with art by not getting distracted and take only a certain amount of time on an art piece.

My favorite mediums in art are paint and clay, because to me it's the easiest to work with and I feel most comfortable with it. I know I'm done with an art piece because I feel as if there's nothing else to add and it looks complete. My way of choosing something to draw is to look at photos on Pinterest or talk to my friend for inspo. My favorite art style is cartoon/animated characters. I developed this art style by trying different art styles to see which one worked best for me and animated characters and cartoon characters fit me the best. My two goals that I have as an artist is to be able to help others do art, and be better at digital art by the end of the year. Something I am struggling with as an artist right now is staying focussed on one art piece. I tend to do an art piece and then try to start over. I feel like its okay to make mistakes because everybody makes mistakes. Nobody is perfect. And when I make a mistake I start the section I was doing over or try to cover it up with a different sketch. A big challenge for an artist in my opinion is navigating the art world. I’m trying to do art that nobody has done. When I'm faced with making creative decisions, I tend to try my best because I'm not too good with creative decisions but I chose the  idea that's best for me. Something I'm doing to make sure I grow as an artist is constantly practicing, doing different art styles and experimenting with different mediums and techniques. Visual art is not something I would want to do professionally, only because I do not want to be an artist as I get older but it is something that I would do in my free time.

Some advice I would give someone who just started making art is stay focused and express yourself.
