I have been drawing ever since I was 5. I started out when I saw some pretty cool designs on video games which made me want to try and draw those designs. I would definitely want to do visual art professionally as an animator.

What keeps me calm and motivated when I'm drawing is sometimes listening to music or just trusting the process. My favorite type of medium is either pen or colored pencils. Whenever I want to draw something creative, I usually think about whether I should make it detailed or just silly and then I imagine how it would look when I’m done.. I know when my artwork is finished when I see a background is finished, there aren't any mistakes and there isn’t any space that is unused. My art style can be goofy like rubberhose, or sometimes detailed. I developed a goofy artstyle when I was in 6th grade and in 7th grade, I developed a much detailed artstyle. My 2 main goals I want to focus on are to learn more different types of art styles and learning to draw human anatomy. Right now, I’m struggling drawing feet and hands, but I’m getting better at drawing hands. The biggest challenge I faced as an artist is drawing limbs since they can be either thick or just too thin. My favorite artist is Bob Ross simply because his paintings are simple but beautiful. Whenever I make mistakes (especially if I’m using a pen), I just try to cover it up into a new piece of artwork. What keeps me growing as an artist is that I keep trying and trying until I get the results I want.

An advice I would give to someone who is starting art is to try and practice until you get the result that you are proud of. I think that being an artist is important to society because it gives so much depth and color to a world that’s cruel to other beings.
