Being an artist is important because art is a pretty thing to look at and can tell a story. I was inspired to become an artist at a young age from others around me. I started by using youtube tutorials and just learned from things like pictures. I don’t have a favorite artist because I honestly get jealous of other artists when they’re better than me. I am my favorite artist. I don’t like art but i can't stop being an artist now. I don't think I will ever pursue it professionally unless I'm getting paid to do so!
My favorite medium is digital art, because I don't like when I have hand cramps from traditional art. I normally just start drawing when I want to instead of twiddling my fingers to decide. My artstyle is sometimes roundish softer stuff with cel shading when i'm in the mood. Then sometimes it changes to harder lines with softer shading. I developed my art style by taking inspo from others art styles and shows and mashed them together. When faced with making creative decisions, I just go with the flow and do what I want when I want. Sometimes i'll ask my friends for advice and then i won't follow it. If I make mistakes, I just use the eraser. I don’t make a lot of mistakes and when I do make mistakes I can't undo, I'll usually just start over and weep. I know I’m finished with an art piece when I hate looking at it.
As an artist I’m struggling with drawing hands and i have a injured hand right now. Two goals that I have as an artist are to someday sell my art and to get better at anatomy. I'm not very good at drawing bodies and faces at certain angles but one day i'll figure it out. To continue to grow as an artist, I plan to keep on drawing.
An advice I would give to someone who just started is that it will be the biggest mistake of your life. STOP NOW!
