Being an artist is important to the world because without art people wouldn't have things to put their creativity into and the world would just be a big, boring, green and blue, marble. I was inspired to try art because I have always loved creating things in any form, and art was my favorite thing to create, so I decided to be an artist to improve my abilities and have fun. I got started when I started creating vlop (a horror game) with a group of my friends, and I would design new characters (maybe too many characters) all the time. 

I have always loved drawing on phone or tablet, and using a (very) cartoonish style for my drawings. I decided to use a cartoonish style because I just like how it looks. To choose what to draw I usually just do the first thing I think of, but sometimes I will pick the second or third thing I think of (if i think of something better before i start). When I am faced with making creative decisions I usually just think up 2 ideas and then I pick what I think will fit best with my style and my drawing. When I make a mistake I usually just erase it but if it's a big mistake (or I'm using a pencil without an eraser) I will just try to think of something to make it good or the worst case scenario: I just restart. When I have a deadline I usually just do what I usually do and act like I don't have a deadline. I know my artwork is finished when I can't think of anything I want to add.

Right now as an artist I'm struggling a bit with 3D poses. In my opinion the hardest thing about being an artist is that there will always be people who will hate your work. Two goals I have as an artist is that I want to create a mural of all my vlop characters, and to get better and art in general. To make sure I do better as an artist I have been doing extra art and practising my art outside of class.  Art isn't what my first plan would be but if being a game designer doesn't work out i would definitely do art professionally.

For artists that are just starting I think you should just do art as much as you can and to practise different styles of art so you can strengthen your art abilities.
