Hi, I'm Ava. Being an artist is important because without spreading creativity I would not know where we would be. Art is something that we see everyday. Ever since I was in daycare, we would paint. I’ve been drawing and coloring ever since. Art has always been my favorite thing to do.

I would say my favorite medium is paint. I would say my art style is cartoony. Sometimes I do creepy art. I use people I know in real life and make them into cartoons and or creepy creatures. I make up something and go along with it. To think creatively, I would have a storyline or a movie that I would like to listen to and make them into art. When I make mistakes I go back and fix them. The first day I focus on what I’m going to draw and the second day I color and shade on the third day. I pay attention to details like shading and my lines but sometimes I go faster or slower. I know I’m done when I like what I did and it's more than I expected myself to do.

I struggle with taking feedback as feedback but I calm down and just fix it and move on. My goals are to be able to draw without any references at all and being able to shade humans. As a growing artist, I want to learn new tricks to make animals or humans. In the future I want to be a designer because I feel like it's cool to make a person's day if they have the perfect wedding dress or to make a custom dress that will be 1 of 1

Some advice I would give a new artist is that not everyone has the same taste in art and people will be rude but THE.HATERS.ARE.GOING.TO.HATE. You should go with what your heart desires and what you like. Don’t let anyone tell you wrong: you're going to grow.
