My name is Kaylin and I’m in 6th grade. You may wonder why it’s important to have artist in the world or your community and that’s because without artist the world would be bland and boring. As an example: you see a brand and how they have mascots and art on their products? That's because of an artist so without artist the world would be bland. What inspired me to become an artist was seeing other people’s art.
My favorite medium is just paper and pencil. My art style is like an anime-ish cartoony art. I'm not sure how to explain it. I developed my art style from shows and scrolling on pinterest. And to add on to the fact, I use pinterest to develop my style I also use it to get Ideas/choose Ideas. When I'm faced with creative decisions, I usually think hard about it before I choose an idea. Honesty when I make a mistake I sometimes get mad like when painting but when it’s digitally or pencil I'll erase or undo. I usually try to stay motivated with music and when I'm close to running out of time I try to forget about other assignments and instead work on the one. I know when one of my assignments is done when I get a feeling that I've done enough. Sometimes, I try to add more when I should stop and move on. What I’m struggling with right now and what i’ve been struggling with for a while is action poses and think of them for example when I say action poses I mean like running or brushing teeth. For me the biggest challenge as an artist right now is coming up with ideas or naming my art. Two goals I have right now are to do a hyper realistic self portrait as painting and for my next artist profile better than is one. Things I do to keep my art skills up is practice in my free time or like during class sometimes I'll draw as practice.
Some advice I have for you if you want to start making art is to not give up and when you think your art isn't good don’t forget someone else thinks otherwise. To sum this all up, I think I’d love to do art as a job like nails with art on them or continue to do the same thing I'm doing right now.
